ACT NOW: Expose the Media’s Whitewashing of Hamas’s Crimes!

The recent coverage by different media outlets such as The New York Times and CBS regarding the tragic death of Captain Omer Neutra reflects a disturbing trend of biased and misleading reporting on Israel.

Headlines from these outlets suggested that Captain Neutra was “found dead” in Gaza, ignoring key facts and sanitizing Hamas’s actions.

The truth is that Captain Neutra, a dual Israeli-American citizen, was brutally murdered on October 7 during Hamas’s barbaric attack. His body was then abducted by the terrorists. These headlines not only mischaracterize the events but diminish the reality of Hamas’s atrocities.

Such language perpetuates a dangerous narrative. Neutra wasn’t simply “in Gaza”; he was defending Israeli civilians from Hamas terrorists when his life was taken.

By framing his murder as a passive discovery, these outlets fail to acknowledge the deliberate brutality of Hamas and their ongoing violations of international law, including holding victims’ bodies hostage.

Congressman Ritchie Torres, a vocal advocate for Israel, took to X (formerly Twitter) to condemn the media’s use of misleading language that downplays Hamas’s brutality and sanitizes the events of October 7.

This is not an isolated incident. Media outlets frequently distort the truth, using euphemisms to describe Hamas’s violence while casting Israel’s defensive actions in a negative light.

These inaccuracies harm the victims, their grieving families, and the broader fight against terrorism. Captain Neutra’s family has fought tirelessly for his return, and they deserve dignity and respect—not misleading narratives.

It’s time to demand accountability from the media.
