Au début de l’été 1942, alors qu’elle n’a que 12 ans, Hannah Bar Yesha est déportée de Hongrie avec toute sa famille à Auschwitz-Birkenau. Au cours du processus de sélection, la plupart des membres de sa famille sont envoyés à la chambre à gaz. Quant à Hannah, elle est internée à Birkenau, avec sa mère et ses tantes. Ce film émouvant retrace l’histoire de Hannah, sa jeunesse à Ungvar jusqu’à son immigration en Terre d’Israël.
