Oleksandr Dubovik avait émigré vers Israël pour protéger son épouse et ses enfants des horreurs de la guerre en Ukraine.
Il a cependant décidé d’y retourner seul pour servir dans l’armée et protéger son pays. Il a été tué par l’armée russe à l’âge de 34 ans.
