Hamas intensified rocket attacks on Thursday evening in southern and central Israel. A man was seriously injured when his house suffered a direct hit.

Hamas terrorists fired rockets at the Tel Aviv area at 6 p.m. Thursday, sparking “code red” sirens in Tel Aviv, Bnei Brak, Givat Shmuel, Givatayim and Ramat Gan.

The Iron Dome missile defense system successfully intercepted two rockets over Tel Aviv.

Direct Hit on Home, Man Injured

Earlier, a rocket hit a house in Kiryat Gat. One person sustained moderate to severe injuries. He was evacuated to Ashkelon’s Barzilai Hospital after being treated by volunteer medics.

Code red sirens sounded in Ashkelon and the Gaza Belt as well. Two rockets were intercepted in Ashkelon and four rockets exploded in open areas.

Earlier Thursday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed not to stop Operation Protective Edge in Gaza until the job is “done” – and not before.

“Until now, we have destroyed dozens of terror tunnels and we are determined to complete the mission with or without a ceasefire,” he said. “I will not agree to any proposal that does not allow for this.”
