A stirring rendition of a traditional Passover song about the survival of the Jewish people with the help of the Almighty.

Passover is replete with different traditions that symbolize freedom and the Jewish People’s resilience through some of the greatest challenges.

“Vehi She’amda l’avoteinu v’lanu” – the first line of a traditional Hebrew song from the Passover Hagaddah, which tells the story of the exodus from Egypt –  translates to: “And it is this [covenant] that has stood for our forefathers and us.”

This short passage from the Haggadah has given hope to Jews over the centuries, particularly in times of oppression, Aish.com explains.

Watch Lt. Col. Shai Abramson, Chief Cantor of the IDF, deliver a beautiful rendition.
