American musician and rapper Pharrell Williams will make Israel Happy this July when he performs for an Israeli audience for the first time at Rishon Letzion’s new Live Park.

Williams was initially slated to perform in Israel last September, and a number of Israeli producers have held talks with Williams on a possible gig, but nothing was finalized.

At the time, United with Israel campaigned to show support for his performance in Israel and faced-off with anti-Israel detractors who called on him to boycott the Jewish State. Thousands of UWI supporters encouraged Williams and thanked him for standing up to the anti-Israel boycott movement.

The Grammy Award winner’s most famous song, “Happy,” has become an internet phenomenon, with versions made for cities around the world, including Happy Jerusalem, Happy Israel and Happy Tel Aviv.

Williams joins a long list of prestigious performers who have announced they will perform in Israel in 2016, including Jennifer LopezElton John, Deep Purple, Sia, the Chemical Brothers Julio Iglesias, Megadeth and the Scorpions.
