Jerusalem continues to be destabilized by relentless Arab violence. Its latest victim, Yehuda Glick, is slowly recovering from the attempt on his life.

Tensions in Israel’s capital continued to remain extremely high over the weekend, and the city’s Arabs were persistent in their attacks on Israel targets throughout the city.
Amid the mounting unease, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called on all Members of Knesset on Saturday night to try calming the situation on the issue of the Temple Mount and to show responsibility and restraint. The Prime Minister spoke with Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein and asked him to work with MKs on the issue.
However, the Arab street has not heeded Netanyahu’s call, and for the first time during the current wave of violence, Arab terrorists threw a pipe bomb at Israeli security forces. No one was injured in the attack, but the police stated that they view this escalation with much severity and are attempting to track down the assailants.
An Arab teenager was arrested by police after assaulting a Jew at the Shechem Gate in the Old City. A mob gathered at the scene and a police officer was lightly wounded by an Arab who threw a stick at him.
In another incident, Arab vandals smashed the windows of several Israeli cars in the A-Tur neighborhood on the Mount of Olives, approximately one km. east of the Old City.
Several other incidents of firecrackers, firebomb and rock attacks were recorded Saturday night.
A police spokesman announced that since the launching of Operation Guardians of the Walls on November 22, police have arrested 111 Arab terrorist and rioters; 17 were arrested over the weekend, and further arrests are still planned for the coming days.
Prayer for the Recovery of the Wounded Rabbi

Hundreds gathered in front of the Jerusalem Municipality on Saturday night, braving the cold Jerusalem winter weather, to pray for the well-being of Yehuda Glick, the Rabbi who was shot last week by an Islamic Jihad terrorist. Glick’s wife and son spoke at the event.
“Abba (Dad), we are waiting for you next to the hospital room. They tell us that you are in stable condition but that you have not come out of danger yet. They tell us that you are getting better, but the condition is still bad,” said Shahar, Glick’s son, at the prayer rally. “Father in Heaven, we are here below praying to you. We know that you see and know all and can have him heal.”
The participants called on the government to assert Israeli sovereignty over the Temple Mount.
Shaare Tzedek hospital, where Glick is hospitalized, announced that his condition has slightly improved. Glick has undergone two surgeries, during which parts of his lungs and intestine were removed. He is scheduled to undergo a third surgery on Monday.
