Essentially accusing Israel of war crimes, the PA wants Israel investigated for its killing of Palestinian terrorists while they are committing terror attacks against Israeli civilians.
PLO Secretary General Saeb Erekat stated on Tuesday that the Palestinian leadership will refer what he called “the Israeli extrajudicial killings of Palestinians” to the International Criminal Court (ICC), the Palestinian Wafa news agency reported.
Erekat was referring to the Palestinians killed by Israeli security forces on site while carrying out terror attacks and murdering Israelis.
During a press conference in Ramallah, Erekat alleged that after “a noticeable increase in Israeli extrajudicial killing of Palestinians,” and unless the Palestinian leadership refers this issue to the ICC, there will be more “collective executions” of Palestinians by the Israeli security forces.
Erekat asked the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Extrajudicial, Summary and Arbitrary executions, Christof Heyns, to visit the Palestinian Authority (PA) and start an immediate investigation into what he termed were “field executions” carried out by Israeli security forces and “Jewish settlers.”
Erekat recalled the arson attack on the Dawabsheh home in the village of Duma in July, which was allegedly committed by Israelis, as well as the murder of Palestinian teenager Mohammed Abu Khader in July 2014.
Incidentally, he neglected to mention or condemn the multiple terror attacks carried out by Palestinian terrorists against Israeli civilians. In recent days, Palestinian terrorists murdered seven Israelis and wounded 92 in several attacks, irrevocably changing the lives of hundreds of Israeli families.
The PA has in the past attempted to use the ICC as a battleground for its international diplomatic warfare against Israel.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, at least 30 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli army and security forces during the first half of October. The vast majority of them were killed while carrying out terror attacks, or while rioting and endangering the lives of Israeli security forces, who usually deploy non-lethal dispersal methods during riots to minimize casualties, even as they are assaulted with massive rocks and fire bombs.

We demand that all funding of the PA be stopped immediately. The brutal murder of Israelis committed by Palestinian terrorists throughout Israel is the latest result of ongoing PA incitement against Israeli citizens. Funding the PA means funding terror.
