A man in his 40s and his 18-year old son were murdered by Palestinian terrorists while driving to a family celebration. Other family members were wounded.

Rabbi Yaakov Litman, in his early 40s, and his son Netanel, 18, were shot dead in a Palestinian terror attack on Route 60 in the South Hebron Hills in Judea, near the city of Hebron, on Friday afternoon.

The family was on the way to a Shabbat celebration in honor of the upcoming wedding of a daughter, who was not with them during the attack.

Other family members traveling in the car — the mother, a 16-year-old boy and three girls aged 11, 9 and 5 — were lightly wounded.

In an interview with Israel National News, Sarah Tehiya Litman, whose father and brother were murdered, said that despite the pain, she intends to continue and build her life, and raise a family in the way her father would have wanted her to.

“The pain is just so great,” she said. “I want to tell our leaders that there are many ways to kill – with a knife, a gun, or a rifle, and with an ambulance, such as the one of the Red Crescent Society that refused to stop for us.”

Sarah told of the plans for her wedding, which was to take place this week. “Almost everything was ready,” she said. “We were all prepared by Friday. Netanel my brother suspected something, because he said he wanted to iron his shirt now, because next week the house will be very busy. And it turned out he was right,” she said, pointing to the many people who had come to join her, her mother, and her siblings in mourning the victims. “We thought we would be busy with celebrations, but we are busy with mourners.”

Many of the recent terror attacks against Israelis have taken place in the Hebron area.

Security forces last week uncovered a Hamas terror network in Palestinian Authority-administered territory in Judea and Samaria.
