Israel is fighting terror and incitement on all fronts, including from within, as Arab Members of the Knesset continue to spread malicious lies about the Jewish State.

Israeli Arab Member of Knesset (MK) Hanin Zoabi incited the Palestinians, calling on them to storm Jerusalem with violence, and may now face a criminal investigation and criminal charges.

Zoabi gave an interview to a Hamas newspaper over the weekend, in which she alleged that there was an Israeli plot to kill Palestinians, and called on the Palestinians to rise up against Israel in a “real intifada.”

In response, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyhau instructed Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein to “immediately” open a criminal investigation against her for calling for a violent uprising against Israel.

Speaking during the weekly cabinet, Netanyahu said Israel would not tolerate incitement, and especially from sources from within, and will act against all those who incite to violence.

He then quoted from an interview Zoabi gave to the al-Risala Hamas newspaper.

“Hundreds of thousands of worshipers should go to the Al-Aqsa Mosque to stand up against the Israeli conspiracy, which condones the spilling of the blood against east Jerusalem residents,” Netanyahu quoted Zoabi’s remarks.
“Today there are only actions of individuals, and what is needed is popular support,” Netanyahu quoted Zoabi as saying. “If individual attacks will continue without popular support they will die out in a matter of days, and therefore, thousands of people going out will turn these events into a true intifada.”

“This is deceitful and wild incitement and a clear call to violence. I am not willing to let such a severe incident pass,” said Netanyahu.

Zoabi stated in response to Netanyahu’s directive that she would not be deterred by the “threats” and that she would continue with “her struggle,” and called on the prime minister and his government to resign.

Zoabi is a known provocateur and has repeatedly voiced pro-Palestinian, pro-terror and anti-Israel sentiments in the past, using her parliament immunity as a means to escape legal prosecution.

Netanyahu also said on Sunday that he would convene a meeting later in the day to discuss steps to be taken against the Muslim Brotherhood and the Islamic Movement, which is responsible along with the Hamas and the Palestinian Authority (PA), for the current wave of Palestinian terror.

“We are in the midst of a wave of terrorism originating from systematic and mendacious incitement regarding the Temple Mount – incitement by Hamas, the Palestinian Authority and the Islamic Movement in Israel,” the premier said.
