Israeli security forces arrested a terrorist on his way to launching an attack in Judea and Samaria, thus preventing a potential tragedy.

An Arab terrorist carrying pipe bombs and a knife was caught Tuesday morning on his way to committing a deadly attack near the Gilboa crossing in Samaria, located on Route 60 north of the Palestinian city of Jenin. He was arrested and taken in for questioning by police.

There has been no let-up in the intensified Palestinian terror, which has been occurring multiple times on a daily basis over the past several weeks. Besides the many attacks that are carried out successfully, attempted attacks are foiled continuously by security.

The Gilboa Crossing is a regular site for launching terror. On Monday, for instance, two Palestinian terrorists attempted to stab an IDF soldier, and on Saturday, IDF forces shot and killed another terrorist who had tried stabbing security personnel.

Overnight Monday, the IDF shut down a radio station in Hebron, citing incitement to terror. The Palestinian Authority, including PA head Mahmoud Abbas, has played a major role in escalating the violence.
