Israelis battled the coronavirus and defeated political deadlock this spring, reelecting Benjamin Netanyahu to lead the nation.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his coalition partner Benny Gantz will be sworn in on Wednesday, after receiving support from 72 members of the Israeli parliament.

While the new government still needs to hammer out placements for government ministries and other posts, the unity coalition represents a major milestone for the Israeli people, averting the need for a fourth national election in a little over a year.
