The surviving pilot of Monday night’s tragic helicopter crash sent a moving message to the families of his two friends who were killed in the accident.
Two Israel Air Force pilots were killed and a third injured when their helicopter crashed into the Mediterranean Sea just off the coast of Haifa on Monday night during a training exercise.
In a statement of condolence, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett called the pilots “among the best of our sons.”
The surviving soldier, Lt. Ron, sent this moving message to the families of his two friends – IDF pilots Lt. Col. Erez Sachyani and Maj. Chen Fogel – who were killed in the accident.
