On March 12, 2025, Harvard University allowed Mohammed El-Kurd, a known antisemite, to speak at an event hosted by the Palestine Solidarity Committee (PSC).

El-Kurd has a long history of hateful rhetoric, including accusing Israelis of “eating the organs of Palestinians” and calling for “every single Zionist” to perish.

Despite warnings from concerned groups, Harvard took no action to prevent this event, allowing blatant antisemitism to be openly promoted on its campus.

During his speech, El-Kurd attacked Harvard’s own adoption of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition of antisemitism, dismissing it with profane language.

He doubled down on his past statements comparing Israelis to Nazis, declaring that Zionism is a form of racism and should be “dismantled.” When questioned about his social media post wishing for the death of all Zionists, he responded by calling it a “banger tweet.”

The PSC, which has a history of antisemitic activities—including promoting the chant “From the River to the Sea” and supporting individuals who tore down posters of Israeli hostages—enthusiastically welcomed El-Kurd’s rhetoric.

Some audience members even cheered as he compared Zionists to Nazis. This event was not an isolated incident but part of an ongoing pattern of Jew-hatred at Harvard.

Harvard must uphold its own policies against hate speech and discrimination. Allowing the PSC to continue operating and giving El-Kurd a platform legitimizes antisemitism and threatens Jewish students.

We must demand immediate action. Harvard must ban El-Kurd from future events, disband the PSC, and enforce consequences for those who violate its antisemitism policies.
