Rashida Tlaib

US Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, an anti-Israel activist, is attempting to distort history at the expense of the Jewish People and the State of Israel. The Democrats have given her a pass. This cannot be tolerated!

An active supporter of the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement who aligns herself with virulent anti-Semites, US Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich) is attempting to rewrite history by distorting the truth about the Palestinian Arab leadership during the Holocaust and ignoring the Jewish connection to the Land of Israel dating back thousands of years.

In an interview on Yahoo’s “Skullduggery” podcast, Tlaib said, “When I think of the Holocaust, the tragedy of the Holocaust and the fact that it was my ancestors, the Palestinians, who lost their land, and some lost their lives, their livelihood, their human dignity. Their existence in many ways [has] been wiped out.”

She then claimed that “all of it was in the name of trying to create a safe haven for Jews, post the Holocaust, post the tragedy and horrific persecution of Jews across the world at that time. And I love the fact that it was my ancestors that provided that…in many ways.”

The well-documented truth, however, is that while Jews were being slaughtered by the Nazis, the Mufti of Jerusalem, Hajj Amin al-Husseini, was collaborating with the Third Reich and encouraging the genocide of Jews.

For Jews who were living in the Land of Israel under the British Mandate – indeed, there was no Palestinian state – there was the constant threat of Arab terror.

One of the most violent attacks occurred in August 1929, when 67 Jews were massacred by their longtime Arab friends and neighbors in Hebron. Many were raped, tortured and maimed, homes and synagogues were destroyed, and the few hundred survivors were relocated to Jerusalem. For the first time in hundreds of years, the ancient Jewish city was left empty of Jews.

Tlaib apparently wants you to believe that the Palestinian Arabs are indigenous to the Land of Israel but have nonetheless given of themselves to allow the supposed stranger, the Jew, to be comforted at a safe harbor.

More concerning, however, is that top Democrats came to her defense after President Donald Trump and other Republicans slammed her statement, which implied that Palestinian Arabs willingly helped the Jews and therefore lost their land.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi demanded via Twitter that the president and House GOP apologize “for their gross misrepresentations” of the Palestinian-American congresswoman’s comments.

MoveOn, an American progressive public policy advocacy group and political action committee, stated that it was “proud to announce” that its political action members in Michigan’s 13th congressional district “have voted overwhelmingly to back” Tlaib for re-election in 2020.

“As a wave of anti-Semitism sweeps the world, we are witnessing the spread of lies that attempt to distort the memory of the Holocaust. We will not allow Congresswoman Tlaib and extremist elements in Europe to rewrite history. We will not remain silent in the face of those who try to do so,” Danny Danon, Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations, stated.

“World leaders must defend the truth, as this is the only way to create a future without hatred towards Jews and Israel,” he declared.

Demand that Tlaib be censured by her party’s leadership!
