Rob Lowe mocked President Obama’s claim he has no time to meet with Prime Minister Netanyahu after Obama met with a YouTube star who ate cereal out of a bathtub.

Hollywood movie star Rob Lowe was astounded to learn that President Barack Obama would not be willing to meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during his visit to the US in March. The US president, however, did find the time to meet with three so-called Youtube stars –GloZell Green, Hank Green and Bethany Mota – for an interview, which occurred the same day that Obama announced he would not be meeting with Netanyahu.

Lowe attacked Obama for snubbing Netanyahu and mocked his interview:

“Hold up. Is it true that a woman who eats cereal out of a bathtub gets to meet with the president and the Prime Minister of Israel does not?” he tweeted on Thursday.

Lowe was referring to a Youtube clip which features GloZell eating fruit loops in a milk-filled bathtub in what she called “the cereal challenge.”

To stress his point, Lowe sent another tweet with a photo of GloZell in the tub with the caption: “For those who aren’t up to speed, here is the woman who had an official meeting with POTUS yesterday.”

The US Congress had invited Netanyahu to a special joint session on the Iranian and Islamic threats in March. The White House was angered by the invitation and voiced opposition to the visit, citing protocol issues, as they had not been notified in advance.

“The protocol would suggest that the leader of one country would contact the leader of another country when he’s traveling there. This particular event seems to be a departure from that protocol,” White House Spokesman Josh Earnest told journalists.

Secretary of State John Kerry said that Netanyahu was welcome to speak in the US “any time.” Later on, the White House announced that neither Obama nor Kerry would meet with the Israeli leader.

“There are things you simply don’t do. He spat in our face publicly and that’s no way to behave. Netanyahu ought to remember that President Obama has a year and a half left to his presidency, and that there will be a price,” Israel’s Haaretz quoted a White House official as saying.
