Sharif Alkarnawi, an Arab-Israeli farmer from the Bedouin village of Rahat in southern Israel, has been working for many years in the fields of Kfar Aza, a kibbutz adjacent to the Gaza Strip.
For more than a year, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists have been sending incendiary kites and balloons across the border into Israel, causing massive agricultural damage. They have also destroyed nature reserves and wildlife.
In this video, Alkarnawi, dubbed the “angel of agriculture in Kfar Aza,” describes the challenges and the danger involved, but he’s not deterred. He also discusses the excellent relationship he shares with the Jewish Israelis on the kibbutz.
