Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah utilized the stage he was given at a climate summit in Marrakesh, Morocco, to slander Israel and spread lies about its alleged wrongdoing.
Addressing a climate summit in Morocco on Wednesday, Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah claimed that Israeli industry in Judea and Samaria is causing grave environmental pollution, that olive trees are being uprooted because of the so-called Israeli occupation and that Israel is polluting the region’s groundwater.
It is of significance to note that Israel uses the same water the Palestinians are accusing them of contaminating.
Minister Ze’ev Elkin, who represented Israel at the event, slammed Hamdallah for baselessly slandering Israel again, while pointing to recent complaints by Bedouin residents living under Palestinian Authority municipal control who turned to Israeli authorities to complain that family members of PA head Mahmoud Abbas are building a cement factory that is contaminating an area that has been declared a nature reserve.
Palestinians regularly abuse international venues to libel Israel and spread lies about its alleged misconduct, many times with an anti-Semitic angle to them.
