‘Israel uses Palestinians as lab specimens in their prisons. I hope you’re disgusted. But you shouldn’t be surprised,’ Zahr tweeted.

Amer Zahr is an Arab-American comedian, writer, and professor at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law.

He is also known to be an anti-Semite who hates Israel.

On Thursday, Zahr announced on Twitter that he has endorsed Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders.

“Wanna hear a radical idea?! I have been officially named as a surrogate for @BernieSanders 2020! I can’t wait to get on the road to spread the message of racial, economic, and social justice!” he wrote.

On January 4, Zahr infamously posted a Twitter video of himself posing in front of a map in Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib’s office, with a post-it note attached to it that said ‘Palestine’  and an arrow pointing at Israel.

Zahr constantly mocks Israel.

“There is no talking about Palestine and Israel without first acknowledging that they kicked us out and stole our land. Then we can have a conversation,” one tweet read.

“Israel’s central beliefs: Palestinians are guests; God is a real estate agent; & Falafel is the national snack,” said another.

He called for the destruction of the Jewish State.

“I love all my #Palestinian brethren. But if you are still promoting the two-state framework, you are delaying our liberty. #FreePalestine,” he tweeted.

Zahr has defended terrorism.

“Dear Israel, America, & the world: Occupation justifies resistance. It’s not the other way around #Palestine,” he wrote.

In February, Zahr revealed his anti-Semitic sentiment.

“Israel uses Palestinians as lab specimens in their prisons. I hope you’re disgusted. But you shouldn’t be surprised,” Zahr tweeted.

According to meforum.org, Sanders gained a strong base of support among Arab-Americans during his 2016 presidential bid because of his strong opposition towards Israel’s policies.

He also ran Arabic campaign ads and met with Arab activists in cities with large Arab-American populations.
