Nearly one quarter of House Democrats will boycott Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Tuesday address to Congress.

While the numbers continue to change, United With Israel counts at least 55 Democrats — seven senators and 48 House members — who have confirmed they are boycotting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech to Congress on Tuesday, March 3.

In addition to the 55 Democrats, Republican lawmaker, Rep. Walter Jones of North Carolina, and Independent Sen. Bernie Sanders will also be boycotting the prime minister’s speech.

There are a total of 535 Members of Congress. 100 serve in the U.S. Senate and 435 serve in the U.S. House of Representatives. 245 Republicans, 188 Democrats and six non-voting members serve in the House of Representatives.
