Economy Minister Naftali Bennett, speaking on CNN Wednesday evening, blamed Hamas for the death of four children that day who were struck by missiles while playing on the beach.

In an interview with famous correspondent Wolf Blitzer on CNN Wednesday evening, Economy Minister Naftali Bennett accused Hamas of committing “massive self-genocide” against their own people and blamed the terror group for the death of four boys who were playing on the beach when hit by missiles.

“I think it’s terrible that Hamas is butchering its own children,” Bennett declared. “I would never take my children and place them next to missile launchers.”

According to Bennett, Hamas is “seeking to kill as many Palestinians as possible” in order to win international support against the Jewish state. “This is cynical and cowardly.”

A member of Israel’s security cabinet, Bennett said he has seen launchers placed by terrorists in places such as hospitals and schools.

Israel, however, “never targets civilians deliberately,” he said. “What Israel does is defend itself.”

Bennett reminded his audience that Israel withdrew from the Gaza Strip nine years ago. The Palestinians “said they would turn it into the Singapore of the Middle East…. Instead, they invested billions in missile launchers, in tunnels – everything to kill people.”

According to Bennett, “This whole thing can go away in one moment. Hamas needs to do one thing: Stop shooting.”
