During an interview with the Palestinian prime minister, it was strongly hinted that Hamas had stolen food and medical aid intended for the citizens of Gaza.
“I’m telling you now: There are more medicines in the Gaza Strip than there are in the West Bank right now,” says PM Rami Hamdallah of the Palestinian Authority in a video posted by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI).
“There is still an excess of food products in the Gaza Strip. The medicines brought in to the Gaza Strip are much more than what is needed.”
Concerning the growing disunity between the Palestinian Authority and Hamas, Hamdallah declares: “Up until this moment I say – the Palestinian government, the Palestinian unity government…does not control what goes on in the Gaza Strip.”
Without unity, how long can the Palestinian unity government last?
