Israel’s Foreign Minister Yisrael Katz warned Hezbollah arch-terrorist Hasan Nasrallah that “he will be remembered as the destroyer of Lebanon” if he continues to threaten the Jewish state.

After Israel allegedly attacked Hezbollah targets in the heart of Beirut with drones last Saturday night, aiming to destroy equipment needed for the terror group’s precision missile program, Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah vowed revenge.
Nasrallah threatened Israeli troops on Lebanon’s border, making good on the threat on Sunday with an anti-tank missile barrage targeting an Israeli post and vehicles near the border.
Responding to the threats before the strike, Israel’s Foreign Minister Yisrael Katz on Sunday derided Nasrallah as “an Iranian puppet, who has taken upon himself the responsibility for the planned attack from Syria, which he doubtfully even knew about, and is now selling to the Lebanese stories about the defense of Lebanon.”
Katz was referring to the Israeli Air Force’s (IAF) attack on Iranian terror targets in southern Syria last Saturday that prevented a “pending, large-scale attack of multiple killer drones.”
The IAF struck Iranian Quds Force operatives and Shi’ite militia targets in Syria in the town of Aqraba, situated south-east of Damascus. Hezbollah operatives Hasan Yousif Zbib and Yasir Ahmad Dahir were killed in the strike.
The Iranian-led forces were planning to launch armed drones at Israeli targets in the coming days, the IDF said. Hezbollah attempted to claim to be behind the planned attack.
“If [Nasrallah] continues in this way, he will be remembered as the destroyer of Lebanon,” Katz warned.
Israel has threatened several times to “send Lebanon back to the stone age” if it is attacked by Hezbollah from its territory.
Following the Hezbollah attack on Sunday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu commented, “We have no casualties – not even a scratch. We were attacked with several anti-tank missiles. We responded with 100 shells and firing from the air by various means.”
On Friday, Netanyahu told French President Emanuel Macron, “Israel will defend itself against [all] aggression . . . and will prevent its enemies from arming themselves with lethal weaponry.”
Netanyahu emphasized that “those who provide shelter for [Iranian] aggression will not be immune,” meaning Lebanon.
