Hostage families’ Forum of Hope has issued a statement on Friday morning asserting that only the release of all hostages together, under an ultimatum, will save their lives while ensuring Israel’s security.
The forum demands that the Israeli government put an end to Hamas’s extortion tactics and demand the release of the six hostages being held afloat by Saturday.
Furthermore, the families insist that the remaining hostages should be freed by a specific deadline. The forum emphasizes that until then, no imprisoned terrorists should be released.
Last week, US President Donald Trump said that, as far as he was concerned, “If all of the hostages aren’t returned by Saturday at 12 o’clock … I would say cancel [the ceasefire], and all bets are off, and let hell break out.”
Later in the week, Israel accepted Hamas’ release of 3 Israeli hostages, while Israel released 369 terrorists from Israeli prison.
Trump reiterated his call ahead of the 12 o’clock deadline on Saturday, writing on Truth Social, “Israel will now have to decide what they will do about the 12:00 O’CLOCK, TODAY, DEADLINE imposed on the release of ALL HOSTAGES. The United States will back the decision they make!”
The deadline passed with the ultimatum unfulfilled.
