Although no physical damage resulted from an overnight rocket attack from Gaza, southern residents suffer from emotional trauma each time Hamas attacks.
A rocket fired from Gaza exploded in an open area in southern Israel Sunday night. Red Alert sirens went off in the Sha’ar HaNegev region in the western Negev. There were no injuries or damage reported.
In response, the Israeli Air Force hit a Hamas terror infrastructure target in southern Gaza overnight. Israel holds Hamas, which rules the Strip, responsible for all attacks.
A resident of a community in the western Negev commented on social media, however, that there were indeed injuries, albeit not physical. The emotional injuries caused by hearing the alarm, knowing your life, and the lives of those dear to you, are in danger,” she wrote. “For anyone who may have forgotten that aspect, those injuries were sustained.”
