Flouting restrictions on movement designed to thwart the spread of the coronavirus, an Arab terrorist tried to mount a fire-bomb attack on Monday, but was stopped by Israeli forces.

The IDF stated that its troops thwarted an attempted attack during an operation near the Amos Junction in Gush Etzion, during which they identified a number of suspects who intended to throw Molotov cocktails at the IDF post and fired at one of the suspects.

The suspect was injured, treated at the spot and transported for further medical treatment at a hospital, the IDF stated.

The Amos Junction, known locally at the T Junction, is often the site of Arab attacks on Israeli motorists and IDF forces.
