Iran “is providing full and continued support for the Resistance line, which begins from Iran and passes through Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and reaches Palestine.”

Iran has vowed to continue its support for acts of terrorism against Israel.

Ali Akbar Velayati, the head of the Strategic Research Center of Iran’s Expediency Council, declared that Tehran will never withdraw its support for what he called “the anti-Israeli Resistance Front nations,” including Syria.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran’s stance is unchanging, providing full and continued support for the Resistance line, which begins from Iran and passes through Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and reaches Palestine,” Velayati told reporters in Tehran on Tuesday, Iran’s Tasnim news agency reported.

“Given that Syria is an important link in the chain of Resistance, the Islamic Republic of Iran has sided with the country’s people and government since the very beginning of the regional and international conspiracy against Syria, and will continue to do so,” Velyati, who is a top adviser to Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, stressed.

Velyati himself has been implicated in connection with terrorism. In July, an Argentine judge requested that Singapore and Malaysia arrest Velyati, who is accused of masterminding that South American country’s worst terrorist attack.

The AMIA bombing was an attack on the Asociación Mutual Israelita Argentina (AMIA; Argentine Israelite Mutual Association) building. It occurred in Buenos Aires on July 18, 1994, killing 85 people and injuring hundreds. It was Argentina’s deadliest bombing ever. Velayati was foreign minister of Iran at the time. He has denied the accusations.

In December, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani declared that the Palestinians have only one path, which is the path of Jihad, Muslim holy war, against Israel.

In May, the Iranian government renewed its financial support to the Gaza-based Islamic Jihad terrorist group.

Islamic Jihad’s Quds Brigades reportedly received $70 million directly from Iran’s Revolutionary Guard (IRGC). The Quds Brigades—known as Islamic Jihad’s “military wing”—was reorganized by Qassem Suleimani, commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard’s Quds Force. Khaled Mansour, a confidant of Iran, commands the Quds Brigades.

Iran provides vast support to Palestinian terror organizations, including Hamas, which rules Gaza, as part of its support of a global Islamic terror network.

Iran has long backed armed groups committed to Israel’s destruction, and its leaders have called for the Jewish state to be wiped off the map.
