“If the threats against our country are carried out, all remaining infrastructure across the region will be crushed.”

An Iranian military spokesman warned Wednesday that continued U.S. attacks could expand the conflict beyond Iran, threatening strikes against infrastructure across the region.

Ebrahim Zolfaqari, spokesman for Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, dismissed President Donald Trump’s recent threats to strike Iranian power plants as “empty,” but warned that any such attacks would lead to broader retaliation.

“If the threats against our country are carried out, all remaining infrastructure across the region that has remained intact due to Iran’s restraint will be crushed under the steel blows of the powerful armed forces of the Islamic Republic,” Zolfaqari said, adding that “no trace of them will remain.”

He also described any U.S. intervention in the Strait of Hormuz as an “invincible red line” for Iran.

The warning came after days of escalating military exchanges between Washington and Tehran. The United States has launched multiple consecutive nights of strikes against Iranian military targets following Iranian attacks on commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz and threats to restrict international shipping through the strategic waterway.

President Trump has repeatedly warned Tehran that further escalation would bring a much stronger response. On Tuesday, Trump said Iran could face attacks on critical infrastructure if it refuses to negotiate.

“Next week it gets really bad for them because next week comes the power plants,” Trump said. “Next week comes the bridges. We’re going to knock out all their power plants. We’re going to knock out all their bridges unless they get to the table and negotiate.”

The latest comments from Tehran came as U.S. Central Command announced that its newest wave of operations against Iran had concluded after several hours of strikes.

CENTCOM said American forces targeted Iranian command centers, air defense systems, missile and drone capabilities, and coastal surveillance facilities in an effort to further degrade Iran’s ability to threaten civilian mariners and commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz.

The strikes, which began at 3 p.m. ET Wednesday and concluded at 9 p.m. ET, used precision-guided munitions against targets in multiple locations, including Bandar Abbas.

Earlier Wednesday, U.S. forces also conducted a 90-minute operation targeting Iranian coastal defense positions and cruise missile sites on Greater Tunb Island, according to CENTCOM.

The latest strikes mark another escalation in the confrontation between Washington and Tehran, with both sides warning that further attacks could widen the conflict beyond the immediate battle over the Strait of Hormuz.
