The escalation came after the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem issued a security alert earlier Tuesday warning Americans that the regional security environment remained volatile.

According to Israeli media reports, senior officials have told the political leadership they believe Washington could soon decide to intensify its strikes on Iran.

The region is bracing for further escalation as the United States significantly reinforces its military presence across the Middle East.

'If the threats against our country are carried out, all remaining infrastructure across the region will be crushed.'

'We’re going to hit them very hard tonight and we’re going to hit them hard tomorrow, and there’s not a damn thing they can do about it,' Trump warned.

'This is in retribution for yesterday's bombing of ships by Iran,' Trump wrote on Truth Social. 'If it happens again, it will get much worse!'

The strikes were conducted to protect American forces after Iranian threats were detected.
