A senior Iranian military commander stated he foresees Israel’s demise, “as there are no signs indicating its survival,” he said.

Speaking at the conference held in Tehran last week to mark the tenth anniversary of the assassination of Hezbollah commander Imad Mughniyeh, Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Quds Force Commander Major General Qasem Soleimani said that “we are never forgetful, and there is no night we sleep without thinking about the enemies [i.e. Israel].”

“The conduct of the [Israeli] regime shows that it will not last, as there are no signs indicating its survival,” he said.

The conference was attended by some prominent figures from the Islamic terror world, including Nabil Qaouk, deputy member of the executive council of Hezbollah, and a Hamas leader, IRNA reported Saturday.

On February 12, 2008, Imad Mughniyeh, Hezbollah’s international operations chief, was killed by a car bomb in Damascus, Syria. The Mossad and CIA are believed to be behind his assassination.

The bomb used to kill Mughniyeh was developed in the US. It was planted in a tire on the rear of Mughniyeh’s vehicle.

At the conference, Qaouk hailed Mughniyeh as Hezbollah’s “strategic brain” and its “first target of global intelligence services.”

“Palestine” was everything for [Mughniyeh],” Qaouk added.

Mughniyeh was linked to several terror attacks against Americans, including the 1983 bombing of the US embassy in Beirut, which killed 63 people, and the 1996 Khobar Towers bombing in Saudi Arabia that killed 19 US servicemen.

Mughniyeh was also connected to the 1992 suicide bombing of the Israeli embassy in Buenos Aires that killed 29 people and the 1994 attack on the Jewish community center in the Argentinean capital, which claimed 85 lives.

Complete Support for Palestinian Terrorism

In December, Soleimani offered Iran’s “complete support” for Palestinians in their struggle against Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem.

Soleimani made the offer in telephone conversations with the Palestinian commanders of Islamic Jihad and the Izz Al-Deen Qassam brigades, the armed wings of the Islamist terrorist group Hamas, which controls the Gaza Strip.

Soleimani said all “resistance groups” in the region were prepared to defend the al-Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

The Quds Force is a division primarily responsible for extraterritorial military, terror and clandestine operations. Soleimani is believed to be responsible for multiple American deaths.
