“Set Me Free” is the title of the song Israel has chosen for this year’s Eurovision competition. An appropriate choice, in light of the corona restrictions?

Eden Alene, the first Ethiopian-Israeli to represent the country at Eurovision, will travel to Rotterdam later this year for the event, which reaches an estimated 200 million viewers worldwide.

The Eurovision song contest was postponed until later in the year due to the coronavirus and is set to take place in May.

Israel has won the competition four times since participating for the first time in 1973 and hosted the event three times.
