The Israel Defense Forces confirmed on Saturday night that Iran launched numerous drones at the Jewish state, which would take several hours to reach the Jewish state.

IDF Spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari the Air Force is tracking the drones.

“We ask the public to adhere to and follow instructions of the Home Front Command and the official IDF announcements regarding the matter,” Hagari said.

Iran has vowed to avenge an airstrike on its embassy compound in Damascus on April 1. Killed in the strike was Quds Force commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Zahedi and seven other IRGC officers. The attack was widely attributed to Israel, though Jerusalem never confirmed this.

Israelis are bracing for the possibility that Iran will also launch ballistic or cruise missiles.
