The arrest was made as part of Operation Wave Breaker, Israel’s counterterrorism operation following several deadly terror attacks that the country experienced in recent months.

Israeli security forces continued with their counterterrorism operations in Judea and Samaria over the weekend, during which they captured a terrorist who carried out a shooting attack in Samaria on Thursday.

The troops operated in a number of locations, including in the villages of Danabe, Hizma, Dura, and Tamun.

In the village of Hizma, the forces arrested three wanted persons on suspicion of terrorist activity.

In the village of Danabe, the forces arrested a terrorist suspected of firing at IDF soldiers stationed near the community of Einav in Samaria on Thursday night. There were no casualties in the attack. The troops located the Carlo submachine gun and the motorcycle the terrorist is believed to have used in the attack.

In the village of Dura near Hebron, a wanted man suspected of terrorist activity was arrested by the Border Police.

In the village of Tamun, IDF troops arrested a wanted suspect.

There were no Israeli casualties.

The five wanted men and the weapons were transferred for further investigation by the security forces.
