Using augmented reality technology, the Skylord system can contend with airborne threats, such as drones and other hostile UAV craft.

Israeli company Xtend’s Skylord system uses augmented reality and a single-handed controller to confront attack drones targeting troops.

“This operational pilot program is the first step towards the widespread deployment of smart systems to US military forces, enabling them to perform complex tasks in the modern battlefield, while minimizing risk,” Israel Ministry of Defense stated Tuesday, TPS reported.

The U.S. military recently announced it launched an pilot program using the Skylord anti-drone defense system.
