After the horrific incident in which a Palestinian terrorist butchered a 13-year-old Jewish girl in her bed on Thursday morning, Palestinian Authority (PA) head Mahmoud Abbas and other Palestinian leaders have so far remained silent and continue to incite against Israel.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman held a security consultation on Thursday in the wake of the terrorist attack in Kiryat Arba in which a Palestinian terrorist stabbed and murdered 13-year-old Hallel Ariel in her bed and seriously wounded another man.

The two ordered the sealing off of the Palestinian village of Bani Naim from which the terrorist came. Work permits for members of his clan will be revoked and procedures for securing approval to demolish his home have begun.

“The horrifying murder of a young girl in her bed underscores the bloodlust and inhumanity of the incitement-driven terrorists that we are facing,” Netanyahu stated.

He expressed his condolences to the victim’s family. “The entire nation deeply identifies with the family’s pain and declares to the murderers: You will not break us.”

He vowed to continue to take “strong and determined action” against terrorism “everywhere and at all times.”

“The entire world needs to condemn this murder just as it condemned the terrorist attacks in Orlando and Brussels,” Netanyahu demanded, relating to Islamic terror attacks that occurred in these cities in recent months.

“I expect the Palestinian leadership to clearly and unequivocally condemn this vicious murder and take immediate action to stop the incitement,” he added.

He called on the “enlightened nations” to join in this demand. “They must pressure the one who heads the network of incitement that leads to the murder of children in their beds and not the State of Israel, which is working to protect its children and its citizens.”

Palestinian Authority (PA) head Mahmoud Abbas and other Palestinian leaders have so far remained silent. The PA Health Ministry put out a notice saying that the terrorist was killed by “the occupation,” meaning Israel. It failed to mention that he was killed while murdering a girl in her bed.

Energy Minister Yuval Steinitz slammed Abbas and said the terror attack was a result of his “anti-Semitic incitement.”

“The shocking murder of 13-year-old Hallel is a direct result of the anti-Semitic incitement in Abu Mazen’s [Abbas] educational system. Until the incitement in the Palestinian educational system ceases, any talk on the advancement of the peace process is only an illusion,” he stated.

Petition to the United States and European Union

We demand that all funding of the PA be stopped immediately. The brutal murder of Israelis committed by Palestinian terrorists throughout Israel is the latest result of ongoing PA incitement against Israeli citizens. Funding the PA means funding terror.
