The Palestinian Authority has accused Israel of “summarily executing” a 15-year-old who was shot while stabbing two Israelis, leaving them in critical condition. The incident was one of four Palestinian attacks against Israelis in Jerusalem on Monday.

The 15-year-old, together with his 13-year-old cousin, went to the Pisgat Ze’ev neighborhood in Jerusalem on Monday. There, they stabbed a 13-year-old boy who was riding on his bike, as well as a 25-year-old man. Doctors at Hadassah Hospital report that the young stabbing victim is in critical condition with a number of wounds to the upper body, and that he has undergone emergency surgery.

While fleeing the scene of the terrorist attack, the older teenager was shot and killed by Israeli Police. The younger teenager was struck by an oncoming car and seriously injured.

Following the attack, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, spokesman for PA President Mahmoud Abbas, called the killing of the teenage terrorist a summary execution. “The execution [of the stabber] in front of cameras is similar to the killing of a Palestinian boy Muhammad al-Dura during the second intifada,” he said.

Rudeineh was referring to a Palestinian boy who was shot during an exchange of fire between IDF soldiers and Palestinian terrorists in 2000. An investigation showed that the bullet that struck al-Dura could not have come from the Israeli position. However, the allegation that he was hit by IDF fire served to fuel the second intifada.

The Pisgat Ze’ev attack was the third terrorist attack out of four on Monday. In the morning, a 17-year-old attempted to stab a police officer, who was wearing a protective vest, near the Old City of Jerusalem. The terrorist was shot and killed by security officers. Later in the day, an 18-year-old Arab woman stabbed a Border Police officer outside national police headquarters. She was shot by police and taken to Hadassah Hospital with moderate injuries. In the evening, a Palestinian man attempted to steal the rifle of an IDF soldier on a bus entering Jerusalem. He was shot and killed after stabbing a soldier and a civilian.

The violence continued Tuesday morning, with multiple fatal attacks. A terrorist rammed his car into pedestrians on Malchei Yisrael Street in central Jerusalem, then assaulted his victims with a meat cleaver, killing one man and injuring three. Another terrorist opened fire on the 78 bus in the Armon Hanatziv neighborhood, killing two people. Another 12 were injured, three critically and four seriously. There were two other, non-fatal attacks in Jerusalem and an attack on the main thoroughfare in Ra’anana.

Petition to the United States and European Union

We demand that all funding of the PA be stopped immediately. The brutal murder of Israelis committed by Palestinian terrorists throughout Israel is the latest result of ongoing PA incitement against Israeli citizens. Funding the PA means funding terror.
