Abbas’ letter of condolence to the family of a terrorist shows that not only does he not condemn terrorism, but he supports it.
In a clear support of terrorism, Palestinian Authority (PA) head Mahmoud Abbas sent a letter of condolence to the family of Amani Hosni Jawad Al-Sabatin who was killed earlier this month after she carried out a car-ramming attack against a group of Israeli soldiers at Gush Etzion junction, during which one soldier was wounded.
In the letter, Abbas praised Al-Sabatin as “a martyr who quenched the land of Palestine with her pure soul,” according to a translation of the document by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI).
He cites a verse from the Koran which states that Muslims “never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision.”
He was referring to her status as a Shahid, a term of Islamic glorification used for national heroes and those who have died while waging Jihad, Muslim holy war, against the infidels.
He states that he shared the family’s “deep sorrow and anguish,” and expressed his prayers that Allah “bestow upon this martyr his many mercies, and may she rest in paradise.”
For reasons that are unclear, the letter was on the official letterhead of the Palestinian Embassy in Jordan.
The letter was then publicized in a tweet by the Fatah movement, Abbas’ party.
The news of this letter came as Vice President Joe Biden criticized the Palestinian leadership for their lack of condemnation of Palestinian terrorist attack.

We demand that all funding of the PA be stopped immediately. The brutal murder of Israelis committed by Palestinian terrorists throughout Israel is the latest result of ongoing PA incitement against Israeli citizens. Funding the PA means funding terror.
