On International Women’s Day, two Palestinian women attempted to stab Israelis. One terrorist was killed in the process. No Israelis were wounded.

A female Palestinian terrorist was shot and killed by Israeli policemen in Jerusalem’s Old City on Tuesday morning as she attempted to stab them.

No Israelis were injured in the attack.

Police said Tuesday the woman was a resident of Jerusalem and in her early 50s. The Palestinian Ma’an news agency reports her name was Fadwa Ahmad Muhammad Abu Tier.

A police commander lauded his officer’s “quick and professional response which definitely prevented the harming of security forces and innocent civilians.”

Jerusalem’s Old City has been the site of numerous Palestinian terrorist attacks, several of them lethal.

Shortly after, security forces manning the Qalandiya checkpoint just north of Jerusalem arrested another female Palestinian terrorist on her way to commit a stabbing attack.

Security forcers found a knife in her bag as she went through a security check.

She admitted during her initial questioning that she was on her way to commit a terrorist attack.

The recent Palestinian wave of violence is marked by an increased female role, with several females driven to mostly suicidal attacks by incessant incitement by the Palestinian leadership.

These incidents were the latest in a long series of almost daily Palestinian terror attacks, which have plagued Israelis over the course of the past six months, claiming the lives of 32 victims and wounding over 360.
