PA President Abbas’ Fatah party, which claimed responsibility for the murder of young parents, witnessed by their children, celebrated the terror attack in the streets, joined by masses of Palestinians.
On Thursday evening, following the news of the murder in Samaria of a young Israeli couple in the presence of their small children, masses of residents of the Palestinian Authority-administered territories handed out sweets, waved PA flags and launched fireworks in celebration.
Ofir Gendelman, spokesperson for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, posted a photo of the festivities on twitter, adding that social media was filled with comments by Palestinians who were “ecstatic” about the brutal act of terror.
Four children, now orphans ranging from 4 months to nine years of age, witnessed the murder of their parents, Rabbi Eitam and Naama Henkin, both in their early 30s.
PA President Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah party claimed responsibility for the attack, which was applauded by Hamas, among other Islamic terror organizations. General Sultan Al-Einen, an adviser to Abbas, has called for more terror, Gendelman said.
At the United Nations General Assembly last week, even before the murder of the Henkin parents, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu blamed Abbas for incitement to violence in face of the escalating terror.
On Saturday, Israeli security forces arrested the Shechem (Nablus)-based terror cell responsible for the attack.
The Quartet continues to urge Netanyahu to resume negotiations with the PA, which the West considers to be a legitimate peace partner.

We demand that all funding of the PA be stopped immediately. The brutal murder of Israelis committed by Palestinian terrorists throughout Israel is the latest result of ongoing PA incitement against Israeli citizens. Funding the PA means funding terror.
