Radical Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez submits bill to block sale of advanced weapons that the UN admits helps save lives in Gaza.

A group of radical Democrats led by Congresswomen Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Rashida Tlaib has introduced legislation to block a $735 million sale of precision-guided weapons to Israel that are needed in the fight against Palestinian terrorist groups in Gaza.

The so-called progressive wing of the Democratic Party wants to stop the U.S. from providing weapons that give the Israeli Air Force the ability to pinpoint military targets and reduce civilian casualties.

Confirmation of the effectiveness of the weapons came from a surprising source: the head of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), the massive UN organization that provides services only to Palestinians, confirmed that the IDF had only aimed at military targets during the 11-days of fighting with the Iran-backed Hamas and Islamic-Jihad terror groups in Gaza.

In an interview on Israel’s Channel 12 news that was broadcast on Tuesday evening, the head of UNRWA, Matthias Schmale, was asked his opinion about the accuracy of IDF airstrikes on Gaza.

Schmale confirmed Israel’s claims that it took care to hit only military targets.

“I’m not a military expert but I would not dispute that,” Schmale said. “I also have the impression that there is a huge sophistication in the way the Israeli military struck over the last 11 days.”

Schmale said that while the attacks had “ferocity … they didn’t hit – with some exceptions – civilian targets.”

Like other radical progressives, neither Ocasio-Cortez nor Tlaib mentioned the Hamas rocket attacks that sparked the latest conflict in their legislation, nor did they make any mention that both Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror groups both specifically fire their rockets at Israeli civilians, which is a war crime under international law.

On Monday the organization Democratic Majority for Israel tweeted that in a TV interview, Hamas co-founder Mahmoud al-Zahar made it clear that Hamas is “purposely targeting Israeli civilians in an attempt to destroy the country [and] they believe Israel has no right to exist.”

In her Twitter posts during Hamas’ 11-day war with Israel in May, Ocasio-Cortez only mentioned the word the terror group’s name once. In a tweet on May 13, she claimed that “Biden reinforces the false idea that Palestinians instigated this cycle of violence,” despite the fact that Hamas started the war with a massive rocket barrage targeting Israeli civilians in Tel Aviv.

That bizarre comment garnered a heap of condemnation, including a response from columnist Emily Schrader who tweeted back: “The Palestinians DID instigate this violence. My god your ignorance is astounding.”
