Rock-throwing terrorists attacked Member of Knesset Haim Yellin, who was driving home after paying a condolence visit to a young victim of Palestinian terror.

Member of Knesset Haim Yellin had just made a condolence visit Thursday afternoon to the family of Shlomit Krigman, the 24-year-old woman who was stabbed to death earlier this week in the Jewish community of Beit Horon in Samaria, when rock-throwing terrorists attacked him while he was driving away.

Yellin, a member of Yair Lapid’s Yesh Atid party, was fortunate to escape unharmed following the shiva (week of mourning) call to the family home in the Jordan Valley. Rocks and bricks shattered the car windows.

Yellin is a former head of the Eshkol Regional Council in the south, which suffered numerous rocket attacks from Gaza over recent years.

“This time it was a concrete block and not a rocket. We can’t stop our daily lives because of terrorists who throw stones, stab or shoot. We have to strike against terror with all our might while not forgetting to embrace and comfort the families of the victims, but not abandon the diplomatic agenda,” he stated.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has continually called on the Palestinian Authority to resume diplomatic negotiations rather than making unilateral moves.

Security forces and the Knesset Guard, an Israeli protective security unit, are investigating the attack.
