Israeli media reports that a “senior adviser to the leader of a large Muslim-majority country with no diplomatic ties” visited Tel Aviv last week.

“A senior adviser to the leader of a large Muslim-majority country has recently visited Israel despite the two countries having no diplomatic relations,” Israel Hayom reported on Monday.

While Israel Hayom was “not at liberty to name the Asian country or the people involved due to potential national security and diplomatic sensitivities,” i24 News reported that the official was an adviser to the leader of Pakistan, Imran Khan.

The news arrives on the heels of the Abraham Accords, an umbrella term for Israel’s recent peace deals with the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan, and Morocco.
