“Canadian hate mongers have usurped this tragic event to propagate anti-Semitism and to incite hatred against Jews,” warns watchdog group HonestReporting.

Canadian Defenders for Human Rights (CD4HR), a virulently anti-Israel group, was recently busted promoting the anti-Semitic conspiracy that the September 11, 2001 terror attacks in New York and Pennsylvania were “likely” perpetrated by the U.S. itself and its “Zionist allies.”
CD4HR “has previously engaged in anti-Semitic tropes,” warned HonestReporting, the watchdog group that exposed the tweet.
HonestReporting Canada “called on Twitter to remove CD4HR’s Twitter page (@cd4_hr) in light of its engaging in anti-Semitism” and “called on Twitter to reaffirm its position calling for zero tolerance against Jew hatred on its platform.”
HonestReporting noted that CD4HR’s tweet runs afoul of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s (IHRA) working definition of anti-Semitism, which includes the following: “Accusing Jews as a people of being responsible for real or imagined wrongdoing committed by a single Jewish person or group, or even for acts committed by non-Jews.”
“Zionists” is frequently a code word for Jews. To that end, close to 96 percent of American Jews support Israel as the world’s only Jewish state, according to statistics quoted by Jewish activist Rose Ritch in a recent Newsweek piece.
CD4HR’s history of anti-Semitism includes “claiming that former Jewish Member of [Canada’s] Parliament, Michael Levitt, has dual loyalties,” HonestReporting noted.
Posting to Twitter “the virulently anti-Semitic conspiracy theory that 9/11 was an inside job perpetrated by the Zionists [Jews] and the U.S., [is] an odious claim without any foundation,” concluded HonestReporting.
