During the past day, Hamas fired projectiles toward southern Israel from rocket launchers embedded near two schools, a field hospital and a cemetery in the southern Gaza Strip, the Israel Defense Forces said on Monday

“This is a further example of the systematic abuse of civilian and humanitarian infrastructure by the Hamas terrorist organization in Gaza,” the army said.

A Hamas terrorist who launched projectiles toward Kibbutz Ein Hashlosha yesterday was eliminated by the IDF.

Meanwhile, in the Tel al-Sultan neighborhood of the southern Gaza city of Rafah, soldiers eliminated dozens of terrorists in the area, located large quantities of weapons, and dismantled terrorist infrastructure both above and below ground. An airstrike killed a terrorist who fired anti-tank missiles at soldiers.

In central Gaza, the Air Force struck a Hamas command and control center, the residence of a senior operative of the terror group, and a hideout.

Over the past day, the Air Force struck over 45 Hamas targets across Gaza.

At least 1,200 people were killed, and 252 Israelis and foreigners were taken hostage in Hamas’s attacks on Israeli communities near the Gaza border on October 7. Of the 111 remaining hostages, 39 have been declared dead. Hamas has also been holding captive two Israeli civilians since 2014 and 2015, and the bodies of two soldiers killed in 2014.
