Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the flydubai co-pilot accused of attempting to bring down the Israel-bound plane had undergone 'Islamist radical indoctrination,' detailing how Israelis and crew members subdued him.
The findings expose a disturbing inversion: People whose lives were endangered became targets of accusations that their own country or community had secretly orchestrated the attack.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met Yaniv Hayun, the Israeli hero who helped retake the Flydubai cockpit after the copilot stabbed the captain and tried to crash the plane.
Israeli passengers aboard the Flydubai flight, nearly hijacked by its copilot and diverted to Saudi Arabia, landed safely at Ben Gurion Airport, where Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu greeted them.
'According to the preliminary information in our possession, the terrorist had one intention: to crash the plane with all of its passengers,' Katz said.
