Why is this mitzvah repeated in consecutive Torah portions?

We must all live our lives in a way that will make our children look up to us and want to emulate our ways. 

Parenting is a huge responsibility. The results can even have a global effect, as we learn from Jewish history and the destruction of the two Holy Temples.

If we parents would be more careful in our behavior by setting the proper example, there would be less of a need for verbal direction.

What message is the Torah trying to teach us by declaring that the cure for the problem can be found in the problem itself?

Adoption should not be viewed as any different or less meaningful than all other family ties, and parental responsibility is equal to that of biological parents.
