A Yad Ezra V’Shulamit driver faced a missile attack while delivering food to families in northern Israel.
One of Yad Ezra V’Shulamit’s dedicated drivers was en route to Tzfat, carrying a truckload of food baskets for 200 families in northern Israel who were desperately awaiting help.
Suddenly, there was a barrage of missiles coming from the north, forcing him to stop his truck in the middle of the highway.
“I heard the sirens, got out of the truck, laid on the ground with my hands over my head, and prayed. It was terrifying. I heard the missiles and saw the Iron Dome intercept them. I’ve never felt so exposed and vulnerable in my life! But what can I do? So many people are waiting to get their food baskets in the north…” said Yaakov, an employee of Yad Ezra V’Shulamit.”
As the need for food in the north grows and more evacuations take place, Yad Ezra V’Shulamit’s drivers continue to risk their lives to deliver aid, even under the threat of missile attacks.
“These drivers are true heroes,” said Aryeh Lurie, founder of Yad Ezra V’Shulamit. “We must protect them.”
We urgently need your help to provide each driver, who risks everything to get food to those in need, with a bulletproof vest and helmet. The cost is $1,550 per driver, and with 25 drivers, the total needed is $38,750.
