Justice scored three more victories against BDS in Spain, where courts ruled that pro-boycott resolutions are illegal and therefore void.

The anti-Israel BDS (Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions) campaign has recently suffered further significant legal setbacks in Spain.
The Lawfare Project, a pro-Israel legal action organization, celebrated a string of major victories in Spain. A court in Barcelona last week voided a BDS measure passed by the city’s council of arts, a court in Andalusia last month suspended a large city’s boycott of companies that engage in trade with Israel, and a few days ago, a court in northwestern Spain stopped a motion passed by a city council to boycott Israeli companies.
“These three decisions prove that justice and civil rights will win out no matter how BDS proponents try to justify their hateful, discriminatory policies,” the Lawfare Project stated.
To date, The Lawfare Project has scored some 60 legal victories since it began operating in Spain.
Anti-BDS and Israel advocacy organizations have seen success after success in their legal battle against the anti-Israel elements.
“We’ve been working in Spain for almost two years. We’ve seen that however the vicious, anti-Israel BDS campaign disguises itself, time and again it is hitting the rocks of the rock-solid constitutional guarantees and legal standards of the Spanish courts,” Brooke Goldstein, executive director of The Lawfare Project, said in July.
In the last two years, the Lawfare Project has secured dozens of injunctions and favorable court decisions, establishing Spanish legal precedent against boycotts by transnational corporations purportedly instituted to comply with international law and human rights mandates.
