An Al-Jazeera report slammed the hit Saudi show for “accepting the Israelis” and “polishing the image of the Jews.”

On a recent Al-Jazeera broadcast, Lebanese host Fatima Triki discussed outrage over a Saudi production called “Umm Haroun” that she says promotes “normalization” between Arab states and Israel.

According to Triki, people are claiming the show “continues the campaign against the Palestinian people.”

Triki continued, “Drama with a flavor of normalization–this is what followers of TV series from the Gulf have called [shows like ‘Umm Haroun’]. These series enjoy wide publicity and are aired during the month of Ramadan, focusing on accepting the Israelis as fait accompli and polishing the image of the Jews.”
