US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman explains why he, an American, is so inspired by the latest archaeological find in Jerusalem and why the US-Israel bond is everlasting.

After six years of extensive archaeological excavations in the Old City of Jerusalem, led by the Israel Antiquities Authority, a 350-meter-long section of the Pilgrimage Road was unveiled Sunday at a festive ceremony in the City of David.

US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman was among several American and Israeli dignitaries to address the inauguration of the ancient road, which served as a thoroughfare for pilgrims en route to the Temple Mount, Judaism’s holiest site.

Why is Friedman, an American citizen representing US interests, so enthusiastic about this outstanding discovery in the Holy Land? In fact, he explains that American values and its spiritual bedrock emanate from Jerusalem, which is why the bond between Israel and the US is so unbreakable.

This is the truth, he declares. Listen to his words and be inspired!
